Ages 13+ and Children's Privacy

ChatSpot is intended for people age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or use the service. If we learn that a child under 13 provided personal information, we may restrict or remove the account and delete the information, subject to safety, legal-preservation, and reporting obligations.

Information We Handle

We may handle account and profile details, messages, room posts, private messages, media, reactions, reports, device and browser data, IP address, approximate location, access times, cookies, moderation actions, and safety signals used to operate ChatSpot.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate accounts, rooms, profiles, friend features, messages, and media; moderate content; investigate reports; prevent spam and abuse; improve security and reliability; and communicate about accounts, support, safety, policies, or service changes.

Public and Private Chat

Public rooms and profile details may be visible to other members. Private messages are intended for their participants, but may be reviewed when reported or flagged, when required for safety and moderation, or when needed to comply with legal obligations.

Safety, Sharing, and Retention

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers, moderators, NCMEC, law enforcement, or other authorities when needed to operate ChatSpot, protect members, investigate abuse, comply with law, or defend rights. We may preserve relevant account records, chat logs, reports, IP data, and moderation history for these purposes.

Safety Choices for Teen Members

Do not post your home address, school, phone number, live location, passwords, intimate images, or financial information. Use privacy, block, and report controls when contact feels unsafe, sexual, secretive, threatening, or manipulative. Tell a trusted adult if someone asks for intimate content, secrecy, money, personal contact details, or an in-person meeting.

Your Choices and Updates

You can limit profile information, avoid posting personal details in public rooms, and contact ChatSpot about account, privacy, or safety concerns. We may update this policy as the service changes.
